How do I request a service call or order supplies?

Note: this is the same procedure to request a student or public user (generic user a group uses) to print to the Sharp Staff printers.

Please send an email to copiersupport@nova.edu (monitored by Sharp and NSU Managed Print Services) and provide the following details:

  1. Equipment ID# (9-digit number on the white label on the front of the device)
  2. Brief explanation of the support required:
    1. Supplies (ex: toner, waste box, or staples)
    2. Issue explanation for service needed
    3. Equipment moves required
    4. Training requests (how to fax, by-pass tray, ....)
  3. Contact information

Note: (coming soon) All new equipment will autogenerate toner orders and these will be delivered to you by the NSU Copy Center team.

How do I set up a proxy?

We understand that there are University leaders who may wish to grant permission for others in their department to release jobs on their behalf. To establish this arrangement, kindly submit a support ticket to OIIT on behalf of the individual seeking to grant access. Please include the name and email address of the person who will be authorized to release their jobs.

How do I set up RightFax?

  • As the University transitions to electronic faxing, we request that anyone currently using a physical fax line to submit a ticket to OIIT to facilitate the transfer during our copier upgrades.
  • All users can send outbound faxes, but only authorized staff and faculty will have a dedicated email folder for receiving inbound faxes.
  • Please include the following information when submitting a ticket:
    • Fax number currently in use
    • Contact information for authorized staff/faculty who should receive inbound faxes sent to this number.
Please note that once the new SHARP copiers are installed, physical fax lines will no longer be functional until RightFax is set up.

How can I acquire a new Shark Card or renew an existing one?

As we transition to a more secure print solution that requires authentication, your Shark Card plays a crucial role in facilitating this new process. To obtain a new card or renew your existing one, please follow these steps:

  • For Local Employees:
    • Visit the main card office located in the Don Taft University Center Arena on the first floor. Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
  • For Non-Local Employees:
    • Request a Shark Card online at https://www.nova.edu/nsucard/apply/index.html During the application process, we will provide you with a link to upload a photo, and the photo requirements are specified on the webpage. Once your photo is approved, we will mail the card to the address you provided on the application form. To prevent any delays, ensure you provide your complete mailing address, including your apartment number if applicable.

If your Shark Card is older (more than 8 years) and you are unable to log in to the copier, please send an email to sharkprint@nova.edu, and we will assist you in renewing your card.
